Information about the translation agency
Allegro språktjenester AS is a Norwegian translation agency situated in Bergen. The agency was established in 1996 by four government authorised tranlators with long experience and high competence in different subject areas.
The framework agreement
The framework agreement applies to translation of administrative texts from Norwegian (both language variants) to British English and proofreading of English texts. Examples of administrative texts may be news articles/events, programme descriptions, course descriptions, online information, job announcements, pamphlets, acts, regulations, procedures, project applications etc.
Allegro also proofread academic papers, but the framework agreement is not binding for these kind of texts.
The framework agreement is applicable for two years from 1. December 2014, but may be extended for two more years (one year at a time). HiOA has now extended the agreement to 1. December 2018.
How to order translations
All orders relating to translation and proofreading must be carried out by a purchaser at your unit.
If you want to use Allegro for proofreading, you may contact Allegro and ask for a price estimate. When you have received the estimate from Allegro, you must send it to the purchaser at your unit, who will make the order for you.
Please include the following in your order:
- The type of text to be translated
- When the translation must be finished
- Contact in case of questions
- Word document of the text to be translated
Prices and time of delivery
The price is calculated based on the number of words in the document. Time of delivery is agreed in connection with each order.

It is very important that you read through the translated documents as soon as possible after receiving it from Allegro. If you have any questions, or if you are not satisfied with their work, you must contact Allegro immediately.
