Culture and welfare / Exercise

HiOABIL is the sports team for all employees at HiOA. Become a member and you will be able to participate in organised exercise along with good colleagues for a very good price.

HiOABIL has about 100 members doing different types of sports, from football to yoga. HiOA’s employees may also enjoy other offers and activities under the auspices of HiOABIL. Several offers and activities are open to all, while others are restricted to the sports team’s members.

We arrange both summer and winter activity days. All employees who wish to join will get time off work from 12 pm.

An active membership gives you the opportunity to participate in organised exercise in various types of sports. It is also possible to play football and tennis in the league.

Guidelines for using HiOABIL equipment

  1. HiOABIL equipment includes outfits, sports equipment (balls, rackets, grids, etc.), first aid equipment, and other equipment paid for by HiOABIL centrally or by HiOABIL's groups.
  2. HiOABIL equipment is HiOABIL's property. It is managed by HiOABIL's board, a person appointed by the board or one of the subgroup's representatives.
  3. If HiOABIL equipment is damaged, worn out or lost, the responsible person must report this to the equipment manager within a reasonable period of time. This does not apply to equipment that, according to its own character, is intended to last for a shorter period of time.
  4. If a subgroup of HiOABIL is made the manager of HiOABIL equipment, the group's representative is the person responsible.
  5. The old representative of a subgroup is responsible for handing the HiOABIL equipment over to any new representatives. The new representative must sign a detailed list of the HiOABIL equipment.
If a subgroup is resolved, the representative must hand over the HiOABIL equipment to the equipment manager.
  6. HiOABIL equipment must only be used for HiOABIL's activities or if the person in question is acting as a representative of HiOABIL. This may be the case on training, in competitions or during events arranged or attended by HiOABIL.
HiOABIL equipment may not be lent out to non-HiOABIL members without the representative or a person appointed by him/her being present when the equipment is used or without a prior authorization of the board.
The person responsible for the equipment must ensure that the use does not violate this regulation.
  7. If anyone in possession of HiOABIL equipment cancels their membership in HiOABIL, he or she must deliver the equipment to the representative or other person in charge.
  8. The person responsible for the HiOABIL equipment must provide a written overview of the equipment in the annual meeting. If the Board so requires, the person concerned must deliver a similar overview within a reasonable period of time.
